An Introduction

A Creative Activity in Support of Animal Well-Being

Piñateria at the Biodôme is a participatory activity offered by Les Amis du Biodôme that invites both children and adults to contribute concretely to animal well-being. Through a guided creative session, participants take part in a unique experience where creativity becomes a tool for enrichment for the animals of the Montréal Biodôme.

This activity offers a meaningful encounter with the animal world while supporting the daily practices implemented by the Biodôme teams.

Who Is It For?

An Activity for Children and Adults

Piñateria is a family activity designed for both children and adults. Everyone can actively participate in creating enrichment items within a safe and supervised environment.

This approach encourages collaboration, creativity, and the joy of working together to support animal well-being.

What to Expect

How the Activity Works

The activity takes place in small groups according to the time slot selected during registration. Following a welcome period, participants are invited to design enrichment items using the materials provided.

The session concludes with the distribution of the creations to the animals, offering a special opportunity to observe their reactions and better understand the importance of enrichment in their daily care.

Schedule

Each day, three time slots are available:

  • Group A : 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Group B : 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Group C : 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Please respect the selected time slot at registration. A maximum delay of 10 minutes is tolerated. After this time, access to the activity cannot be guaranteed.

Registration and Participation Conditions

Registration for Piñateria is done through the Les Amis du Biodôme newsletter. For this activity, registration details were sent in the November 18 newsletter.

When registering, it is important to reserve one ticket per participant, including adults and children. If the number of reserved tickets is lower than the number of participants present, access to the activity may be denied.

This activity is reserved for members.
