At night, when all the visitors have left the Biodôme and when night has fallen on the ecosystems, come and see what is going on backstage. With an instructor and a flashlight, enjoy the Biodôme like you have never seen it! It is an opportunity to see some nocturnal species and to experience a very different atmosphere!

But hush, you don’t want to wake up the animals that are already fast asleep!

  • Relax with a mini yoga class designed to soothe the mind after the summer,

Did you know? At the end of May, it’s World Otter Day! This special day encourages everyone to defend nature by helping preserve these wonderful ambassadors of ecological balance. The Friends of the Biodôme invite you to meet these playful creatures and gain more awareness of their impact on our aquatic world.

Would you like to fall asleep mesmerized by the slow dancing of sturgeons and jellyfish? How about waking up early to the sound of chanting macaws or frolicking river otters? The Friends of the Biodôme want you to pitch your tent in one of the ecosystems! During the evening, your unforgettable experience will include a look behind the scenes of the Biodôme followed by a night’s sleep in one of the ecosystems.

Please note that since the activity is extremely popular and is limited in terms of capacity and requires significant resources, the registration process will involve a random draw.*

Since this type of activity calls for a lot of resources and planning, unfortunately we can only offer this activity four nights per year.

Since piñatas play an important role for Biodôme animals and are a valuable tool for animal care technicians, we are bringing back our piñata-making activity!

Join the fun in making paper-mâché piñatas for the Biodôme animals! This enrichment activity improves the physical and psychological well-being of animals in captivity, by providing them with lots of opportunities to make choices. An animal care technician will be on hand to provide more information about this type of enrichment and then give the piñatas to the animals right before your very eyes!

For the second edition, the Friends of the Biodôme and the Friends of the Botanical Garden are partnering with Mission 1000 Tonnes for a great clean-up!

When the snow melts, you know it’s time for…. spring cleaning! Come join the Friends and help clean up a natural area! Bring a pair of gloves and together we’ll spruce up our environment! A small gesture perhaps, but which does a world of good for the planet!
